Special Education

An Individualized Education Program is written for each pupil at a meeting attended by the basic child study team, one or both parents, teachers, therapists and other individuals having knowledge of the student's educational performance. The teachers and therapeutic staff will implement the IEP with periodic review by all parties involved.

Individual student needs are met through a specially designed curriculum, which incorporates skill areas that are linked to the expanded New Jersey Core Curriculum content standards.

                • Functional Academics
                • Socialization
                • Independent Living
                • Pre-Vocation
                • Vocation

Through these skill areas the student is prepared to function in the community, to travel, shop, work, enjoy leisure time and relate to others.
